Our Story

Bringing women together for conversations that disciple and connecting women to live vibrantly for Jesus, juntas (together).

We had all been following each other for a while. We became comment-section-friends and DM-buddies in our search for women we could relate to – Latina preachers, ministry leaders, and creatives. In the Fall of 2020, when the world was settling into Zoom as the new normal for connection, Lydia took a risk and invited Ivette to a Zoom café. They invited me, Ariana, to join in a couple of weeks later and we talked for hours, sipping café, exchanging stories, and encouraging each other. We prayed together that night and immediately felt that God had brought us together for a purpose beyond friendship.

Our Zoom dates went on for months and God continued to knit us together as friends. The feeling that there was more to our relationship, grew into a desire to do something for other Latinas like us, who loved Jesus, and desired community. So we decided to host a Clubhouse room. And in March of 2021, we hosted our first conversation titled, 'From Followers to Familia - Let's Talk About How to Find Other Latinas Loving Jesus'. The response overwhelmed us. We went on to do weekly Clubhouse conversations and IG Lives. That Summer we started an Instagram account so we could house the IG Lives and localize any announcements.

Latinas Loving Jesus has blossomed into something that none of us had anticipated and has been more beautiful to be part of than we could have hoped. It has become a place for Holy Spirit-filled conversations taking place at the intersection of deeply rooted faith and a celebration of cultural values. We're joined by Latinas all over the United States spanning multiple generations and representing countries from all over Latin America. Ours is a community where all women are welcome to learn and where Latinas lead. We celebrate who God created us to be, never shy away from a deep conversation, and love a good plant analogy!

What Our Amigas Are Saying

LLJ is like an answered prayer. I’ve cried through just about every IG live because the Holy Spirit was so tangible but the wisdom and lived experience is what my corazón has been longing for - hermanas in the fe.

I love that I get to connect with other Latinas to grow and learn from a unique lens/perspective. It has been a gift to have an integrated community to dialogue with, be sharpened and encouraged in the ever changing seasons of life and faith.
